Gopalganj SP has taken major action in the case of nexus with liquor mafia in Gopalganj and the recovery and sale of ganja. SP has suspended the police station incharge of three police stations. These include police station incharges of Jadopur, Vishambharpur and Kuchayakot. Different types of allegations have been made against all three police stations.
Allegation of selling recovered ganja to smugglers
It is being told that Jadopur police station incharge Pintu Kumar had seized 250 kg of ganja from a vehicle running in the name of a courier company. After seizing the ganja, 70 kg was shown, while the remaining ganja was sold to a smuggler living in Jadopur police station area. Sadar SDPO Pranjal had also held a press conference on the recovery of ganja. Vishambharpur police station incharge Manoj Kumar is accused of having contacts with the liquor mafia. For the last few days, the SP was continuously monitoring the activities of the police station. Recently they reached the police station and also conducted investigation. He was suspended for having links with liquor smugglers.
Alleged collusion with liquor smugglers
At the same time, Kuchaykot police station incharge Sunil Kumar has also been accused of nexus with liquor smugglers. It should be noted that Kuchaykot police station connects to UP Bihar border. Giving information about the action, SP Awadhesh Dixit said that we are working on the policy of zero tolerance. Negligence of any police officer or personnel will not be tolerated.
